Hi Paladin,
Are you suggesting that the poster who reported that there are no
full pay Deuces or jokers at PH or FPJW at ACD, is an AP who has
posted a "fake" MIA report in order to ward off competition? Or was
this a "general" comment in regard to other recent MIA postings?
Since my realm consists of pretty much everything outside of LV (ok,
for that matter, pretty much everything outside of NV), you may assume
that this happened somewhere outside of NV.
I don't concern myself with quarter stuff.
My second area of confusion is in regard to the "80yo married couple"
who are apparently playing long hours on both positive machines on a
two machine bank, while consulting "color-coded cheat sheets".
I do understand your repugnance at the blatant use of strategy
cards, since this may cause a casino suit to "notice" the machines
that they are playing, and possibly kill a good play. But what is
the problem with a married couple (and I am assuming that you have
some way of knowing that they are really hitched) playing two side
by side machines? I would think that this is a rather common
occurrence in many casinos. Surely, you don't believe that one of
the couple should give up his/her seat to you or any stranger, who
might indicate a desire to play one of the machines. You seem to
resent their monopolizing the machines simply because they reside in
the same household? Is there some reason, not made apparent in your
post, why this elderly twosome, be they ploppies, pros or anything
in between, should not be allowed to take advantage of this $90/hour
opportunity?
I just think it's inherently wrong and selfish for one household to
lock up both machines on a two machine bank. If they weren't married,
it'd be considered team play. They kind of think they own the bank.
They go to dinner, they have the machines turned off. The cheat sheets
just add injury to the insult.
The couple in question seem very affectionate to each other, so I'm
guessing there's a relationship there of some sort ;).
I have no problem with them playing, but it's a $180 opportunity for
the household, not a $90 one (probably less, they play slower,
particularly the husband, the wife plays pretty good and reasonably
fast). If you want to act like pros, then conduct your business like
one. It's disingenuous, as one AC couple is famous for doing, to whip
out the old "we're just recreational players" line when you know
exactly what's going on.
