(Fwd) Station Casinos Free Play for Points

As long as we are getting excited about this, what about Fiesta Points? I
have a large number of Station points, and an even larger number of Fiesta
points! Turning these into cash at the rate of 1000 points/dollar would be a nice
option, if indeed it is an option.

Anyone with further "inside" info on this possible future promotion, please
post!

Thanks,
Brian

********************************

At this year's annual "state of the property" meeting that
some/most/all (?) Station properties do, the following was
announced:

Starting February 14th, Boarding Pass points can be converted in
to slot/vp free play at the rate of 1000 points = $1.

Points accumulated from table games and poker will not count
towards this free play.

You swipe in your card at a "my rewards" kiosk and then the free
play is loaded on to your card. You have 90 days to use it.

Other comps will still have the usual rate of 600 points = $1 or
1000 points = $1 (depending on what/where)

Also starting February 14th, when you're you playing on free play
dollars, your play will generate Boarding Pass points, which can
then be used towards more free play. Point multipliers will also
count. I think there will be a kickoff promotion of 7X points
from the 14th to the 17th (every day).

I wonder if this has anything to do with the ad campaign that Boyd is
using with their Coast properties. Lots of 7X and even 8X points
promos. Hopefully if this comes to fruition this will be good news
for all.

My wife and I are both high level players at Stations. We took part in
a focus group last spring at Red Rock. One of the many things
mentioned by the VP of marketing was that once Stations went private,
they "might" offer to exchange points for free play. We as players
were enthusiastic about this proposal. SO, I think it's reasonable to
assume that this may take place at Stations and most likely Fiesta as
there were many high level players in our group representing Fiesta
Henderson.

I was talking to a Station Slot supervisor about possible promotions
for them to consider. The supervisor offered the info that cash back
was considered but rejected. Additionally that some very nice changes
are coming.
