(Fwd) Sequential RF

More than 15 years ago Binions paid 100,000 credits on ALL 25c and $1 machines for a sequential RF but it had to be TJQKA not AKQJT. (Evey machine had a sticker indicating that it was TJQKA only.) Back then, all 25c and $1 jacks were 9-6 and deuces were all FP. They also had 8-5 Aces and Faces which were a trademark game at Binions. They advertised winning up to $100,000 for a sequential. Playing at the Empress (Joliet IL) I sat next to a lady while playing $1 9-6 DDB with a regular RF progressive and a $50,000 either way sequential royal and this lady says to me: "You know the Jh would win me alot of money." I look over and see she has Th, Ad, Qh, Kh, Ah. Sure enough, the Jh comes up on the draw. This woman showed no emotion winning 50K. (I would have gone nuts!). One thing that bothered me is that the regular RF progressive reset which I did not think was ethical. Later they had machines with the sequential payout as a line on the machine to prevent that. This casino is currently rebuilding it's docks after a fire wiped everything except the barge out.

Heard at one time some casinos would double sequential RF's.
I remember Binion's had machines that advertized double for
sequential RF's? Not like I'll ever see a live one but what's
the general rule? Thanks

Unless a game says otherwise, and very few do, a sequential
royal pays the same as a non-sequential royal.

When I was playing at the Sahara in 1997, they had installed a bank of Reversible Royals not too far from the old front entrance. A mother and daughter who were regulars came in and started playing those machines.

My GF and I were playing a litle behind them at a bank of progressive .25c Bonus Poker machines when all of a sudden we could hear them both sceaming. They hit the Reversible Royals machine for $25,000. I had to walk over and take a look.

3 trips ago, I was playing at Sam's Town at the Winchester Bar, and hit the progressive Royal sequentially, except it only paid the $1600 or so. First one I ever hit. Right hand....wrong machine.
