Since I'm the one who made this statement, please

being ignorant. Please tell me how a substance that

inert, other than being radioactive (not fissionable
material or
reactive with its environment, etc.), that is put in
airtight
storage containers, and buried deep underground in
an area that
receives very little precipitation (thus very little
risk of water

likely to affect me or my health or well-being.

What IS ignorant, it seems to me, is to get all
panicked and trembly
about "nookular" material as a reflex, rather than
rationally
evaluating the actual danger. Not wearing the proper
SPF sunblock in
Las Vegas is ten thousand times more likely to
injure you or give
you cancer than being 100 miles from a nookular
waste dump.
