I think I've heard something about throwing stones while living in a
glass house. If he didn't have an autorespond that robotically and
annoyingly prints "CAT" everytime he reads the word "CAR", no one would

If one's budget dictates no car, well, then you have no alternative.
That doesn't justify criticizing and scolding the vast majority who do

his refrigerator. I'm assuming that's the climate change being
referenced because there is no such phenomenom occuring anywhere else
in nature.

To Mr Kremin. If you find that any of this post is personal and/or a
negative attack, let me say in advance of your demands for an
apology, tough shit. Please be advised that I am a graduate Chemical
Engineer and, in my prior career, spent more than 20 years as a
process engineer and later a project engineer, then project manager
designing and building air pollution control systems for the utility
industry. The systems I have worked on have removed more sulphur
dioxide, NOx, and particulate matter than all the hot air streaming
out of any orifice on your, Al Gore's or Barbra Streisand's body.
Which is to say, a lot.

Your ignorance is beyond the limits of the human mind to comprehend.
Do you get your science from somewhere other than 60 Minutes? Do you
have the slightest inkling of the consequences of 40% of the polar
ice melting (which you stated has already occurred)? You claim to
live in San Diego. Do you realize that much of San Diego would be
under water with that much polar ice melted? Look out your window.
Do you see any fish staring at you? If not, then 40% of the ice has
not melted.

Is global warming a concern? Yes. Are your observations of six days
of last year's June temperatures in Juneau a scientific basis to
drastically alter the ecomomy of the US? Certainly not. It is only
the collosal stupidity of the left wing (ie. most) of the Democrat
Party that proposes (thru Kyoto) to hamstring the most productive
economy (Ours) on the planet and permit the least productive and
most polluting (India, China) to grow unfettered. Although the
original Senate vote on adopting Kyoto was 98 against and zero for,
GW Bush is widely accredited with undermining the Treaty (which
calls for the US and a few Western European nations to cut back on
CO2 emissions while leaving the less industrialized (and highest
polluting) nations to do as they please. It would also
impose "reparations" on us. In other words, as usually happens with
current world bodies, they hold out their hands and we pay them. Ten
foxes and one lamb vote on what's for dinner. Fortunately, this lamb
is well armed.

Maybe you should try reading something other than socialist
propoganda while endlessly riding around on CAT.

nukes fly to bury the Muslims, they're the only ones who'll be in

I have forwarded to you 3 articles on global warming. It is a very seriously problem. GW Bush gets campaign contributions from industry including big oil. The US is wrong to not be part of KYOTO. KYOTO isn't perfect and yes the standards should be strict for all but even Russia has now signed the treaty. Being socialist is just as justifiable a political position as being right wing reactionary. I am not saying being vommunist or fascist is good as some communists and fascists advocate the violent overthrow of the government. The warm temperatures this past summer in Juneau are just an example. If you look at a temperature record of manty Alaskan Cities over the past 50 years the increase is very noticeable. Yes, the coastal lowlands are in jeopardy. San Diego does have hills within a few hundred meters of the coasts in most areas. I live within 2K of the water but my apt is about 25m above sea level. The New Orleans area is already being affected.The excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which allows the insolation of the sun to pass thru but traps the radiation from the heat of the planet makes it mandatory to reduce the use of fossil fuels. Were autos to be electric with self contained batteries recharged from power from hydroelectric or other non polluting sources it would be one thing but the internal combustion engine has eventually got to go. As you are aware there is often a haze in the air, the majority of which is caused by auto exhausts. A great opportunity exists to lessen this by the use of transit where the same amount of fuel carries a greater number of people. The fact that transit saves money, and unless you are in the $20 hour wage level or more saves time as well due not needing to work to support a vehicle. If you are at the $20 per hour wage level or more, than at least buy a hybrid for trips where you might have heavy luggage or groceries or going to a non transit area oput of the city. The resources of this planet are finite, we need to conserve them. Note, unlike your posts, I never attacked you personally as you did to me, just the subject matter of the post. Even George W, who you so admire, did not do a personal attack on John Kerry, nor did John Kerry do that, but they debated as gentlemen. I hope you can do the same.
