I was in the Rio on Monday, the 14th and there is no 8/5 bonus poker
left in the place. I checked every single bank including all the bars.
The Rio is now a video poker wasteland for $1.00 and less. I didn't
check the high limit area for the $5.00 and up jacks or better, but
will do that the next time I visit the diamond lounge. It is true that
all the machines were upgraded to the latest IGT version. Several
banks of previously bad VP were still roped off. I don't really like
the new machines (I have played the optimum plays at Fiesta Henderson)
because the feel isn't quite right when you hold the cards. I am not
sure they really work and it slows me down to wait and make sure the
cards I held say that they are held. Also the draw button won't allow
me to double click as quickly as in the previous version, so now I have
to just multiple click, which also slows me down.
