Comments: The Saddle has kind of remodeled by painting and
adding new flooring covers. Plus a few more lights and a new
players card system. The Old West feel remains along with the
many friendly local folks. If you want to see what Downtown
Vegas looked and felt like many years ago, then see and feel
the Saddle West. The five times points on Mondays are Slots
only. Some good golf and room packages.
And don't forget the buffet discount when you show your Player's Club card.
The standard room rate is about the cheapest in town. The rooms themselves
seem fine...fairly large; in-room coffee maker; relatively small TV with
cable. Can't remember what the rate is on their RV park, but I hear it's pretty
reasonable.
It may have the feel of old Downtown Las Vegas, but don't spend any time
looking for "downtown" Pahrump, because there doesn't seem to be one. (If
you're in the mood for a little more "upscale" dining, try the Pahrump Valley
Winery. And I've been told that the restaurant/sportsbar out at the Chicken
Ranch is a pretty mainstream place to eat.)
