(Fwd) Motor City, Greektown, MGMD, Windsor Comments

I respectfully beg to differ with the person who sent that email regarding
MGM. I have never found them to exclude any promotions from specific VP games,
even the 9/7 DB progressives (quarters) that are frequently a positive play.
The mailings can be rather interesting, too - I recently received a 6 x $50
bounceback, and have received some very nice "bribe" offers for MGM's Vegas
properties.

In addition, it isn't a secret that MGM/Mandalay is likely to sell MGM
Detroit. They have to sell either that one or Motor City, because the impending
merger would put ownership of both venues under the same corporate umbrella (a
violation of Michigan state law). They wanted to sell Motor City, but the
interest of potential buyers seems to lie wholly in MGM. There have been a number
of potential buyers' names being bandied about, but this is the first I've
heard that Harrah's could be one of those. The leading candidates seems to be
local Indian tribes, partly because of the huge lawsuit filed by them over the
method of determining who got the three gaming licenses in the first place.

Motor City in Detroit has a number of full pay games
offered at dollars (NSUD, DBDW and I think DBLX -
since the deuces offered the best payout 99.92/99.96
respectively, I sort of ignored the rest. The DB was 9/7
though.

The 3/5 Plays downstairs have been downgraded, but
there is 1, maybe two 9-6 Jacks (for dollars) Spin
Pokers. At .167 cb and marginal mail, it doesn't pique
my interst.

Greektown does have NSUD in 50-play, .05 to $1. Also
.167 cb.

At MGM, most of the $1 pick'em are gone, but some
remain at on bartops. Virtually total VP wasteland as
the entire crappy VP inventory is excluded from most
promotions. Rumor has it MGM will sell this property
to Harrah's and rebrand Motor City after they take
over Mandalay.

Windsor has always had $2 pickem. Denoms are $1 to $20
(CDN). I think the base cb now is a flat .2 across, it
used to be less on the $5 and up (.1/.1/.125).
