Hello,
The jerks at Wynn Las Vegas have shortened the paytables on the two
$1/$2/$5 NSUD, 9/6 BDLX MultiStrike machines (near the Red 8

Let's fix this...ok, so I was a little premature with this, but a
number of sources told me that the players ran very well to the
machine, and it was likely going after the drawing, if not before (the
actual report was about the MS progressive at Red Rock, but that's
another story). The machine gave up a number of royals, one top line,
one second line, one third line ($40K, that one), quite a few top and
second line sets of deuces, and a couple top line sets (BDlx). Keep in
mind that about every fifteenth (insert target hand) will be on the
top line, and about every fifth (insert target hand) will be on the
top two lines.
The $1 MS was always short pay. The $2 and the $5 were FP. I forgot to
check the Jacks, but I assume it was included in the downgrading.
There was some discussion about how much the drawing tickets were
worth, I felt it was like .1 or so, other pegged it closer to .2. The
drum looked like it had maybe 20K tickets, which would put the value
at .09 or so.
At roughly .3 with all the variance you can handle, it seemed like a
really thin play. I do concede that some like the action, and others
value things in dollars without regard to certainty.
Regarding future promotions, I'm expecting not a whole lot from them
until maybe April, but your guess is as good as mine.
