There appears to be a major management change at the three
properties in Mesquite, Nevada owned by Randy Black. The Casa
Blanca, Oasis and the Virgin River are the Mesquite Casinos that
could be affected. Randy Black purchased these properties, from
his family a few years ago. Then he brought in several top level
employees from the Harrahs properties, to help manage the new
company he named Tri-Properties. A noticable downgrade of Video
Poker paytables promptly followed.
Last week it was announced that two of the top ex-Harrah's
managers will be leaving the company. It is possible that the
change may signal a possible new direction for these three
properties. These casinos were player friendly before the
addition of the management team from Harrah's. Time will tell if
the inventory of Video Poker will be improved now.
