LVH proposed changes in comp levels, partial listing:

In Sep, Las Vegas Hilton will change comp requirements as follows:

(IN $ OF THEORETICAL)
LEVEL CURRENT PROPOSED

C2 650 750
C3 450 ?
C4 300 eliminated

That's right C4 will be gone.

Reading between the lines, there's a new marketing manager who came
with the takeover who wants to make an impression. Have been through
this type of thing before. We just have to be patient until the young
gun shoots himself in the foot or gets lucky & reaches higher on the
Peter Principle. Cycle time: usually a year or two.

I was at LVH last weekend, and there was effectively no play on the
triple play dollar or 10 play quarter JOB machines. Over 3 days, I
NEVER saw anyone playing 50 credits on the 10 play Jacks. The first
trip I can remember when I always was able to sit at the machine of
my choice. I don't know the theo on any other machine, but 1.35% is
the number for the JOB according to someone who I believe knows.
Therefore C2 is going to take $55,000 per day on the JOB machines. I
don't expect that there will be a lot of visitor play with those
requirements unless they come up with some real good mailings. This
was not a good trip for me; I got a return on coin-in of 95%.
