Here's the Grand:

Slots sitting on US 90:

I'm no fan of Harrahs, but I have to give them credit for this
gesture (taken from an AP story):
"Gary Loveman said his company intends to pay the 8,000 employees of
the Grand Casino, Harrah's New Orleans and the Grand Casino Gulfport
for up to 90 days. All three properties closed Sunday before Katrina
struck."

Continue to keep those affected in your thoughts.

Hello

In the 'grand scheme of things', I know this really doesn't matter...but I am trying hard to get a 'visual' of things. Can someone tell me if the Grand was originally in the water or to the left of the highway that can been seem in the photo? I am not at all familiar with the area, and am having trouble even finding pictures on the internet to use as a reference.

My heart goes out to all affected! Listening to the news tonight I heard how New Orleans was 80% covered with water & according to the Mayor, will continue to fill until 100% submerged!! The levies are broken, the pumps no longer work. That is SO hard to even grasp. A city, gone, underwater..like 'Atlantis' maybe?

I will keep all in my prayers..

If that highway is US 90, then the Grand was between it and the water.

I'm not sure if your question was answered. The Grand was in the water.
