(Fwd) Free Play - Slot Play Option Disabled at Mandalay

As of this last weekend the (free play - slot play) options have
been removed from the $1 fifty play JOB machine at Mandalay Bay.

Management at Mandalay Bay politely pointed out that all their
other machines still have this option.

Management also pointed out and did admit that $1 fifty play
machine was very popular, and that many times (during special
promotions) local teams were monopolizing the machine around the
clock, and that out of town visitors (who were on the machine)
were being harassed by some locals. Apparently it was that or
downgrade the paytable.

A reliable source at MGM corporate says that this policy will be
more widespread.

This is such a near inconsequential move that it's almost laughable.
Ok, so they've diminished the value of cb/Free Play by a couple of
percent (e.g. what was once near .33% is approx .32% now ... this is
the consequence of playing the FP off on the next strongest machine).

If they intended to have a meaningful impact on team play, they'd
simply do what most everyone else does who targets that ... reduce the
cb rate itself on those specific machines or limit participation of
these machines in special promotions. (Or has this been done as well.)

Surely the machine was not monopolized by teams of local pros playing off
free play. More likely they just want to see people gambling with the free
play and not just playing it through on a very low-variance wager.

If they would follow the lead of the most successful casino in town, they
would put 9/6 and NSUD on dozens of machines throughout the casino. Then
they wouldn't have a problem with people monopolizing one machine.
