Edgewater has removed a large quantity of machines (both VP and
slots) -- a guess would be that more than 50 machines from
various areas are gone. (Nice wide walking areas now throughout
the casino ...).An employee (non-floor type) made the comment that the lease must
have been up on them. This may or may not be true, but an
engineering tech rewiring an area said that they had been
instructed to reconfigure the layout to make wider aisles. (The
extra tables along the one wall outside McDonalds have also been
removed -- this may or may not be temporary -- there is a lot of
painting and wallpapering being done on walls and support posts).Anyway, the 12 FPVP machines by the escalator are still there --
just changed from two banks of 6 to three banks of 4. The 6
upright FPVP machines by the sports book are still there. BUT,
the 6 upright FPVP machines that were just inside the south door
by the parking lot are gone (along with the other group of
machines that were beside them). (This is only a partial loss
... 3 of these FPVP machines were basically unplayable during
the day due to the bright reflection of light through the entry
doors on the machine screens!).

Edgewater went nuts. They moved most of the lighting fixtures in the
ceiling. They painted the ceiling dark for some reason. Glad to hear about the
extra room between machines. You certainly couldn't push a wheelchair down the
secondary aisles. That McDonalds seating is not needed anymore since they got
rid of the dollar menu when Marnell took over.
