I played at El Cortez (for the first time) on Sunday and Monday (Feb.
6-7, 2005)

They have at least two multi-denom Multistrikes with 9/6 JOB against
the wall next to the raised bar area (which is next to Roberta's). I
played at the 10-cents and 25-cent levels, and I’m afraid I did not
check the paytables at other denoms. There were other Multistrikes
neaby, but I did not check them.

Here is an update on my searching for FP Joker Wild machines:

I could not find these JW machines and suspect they have been moved or
removed:

(2) 50c MG uprights near Roberta's Cafe.
(6) $1 MG "Multi Poker" uprights near Roberta's Cafe.

I did not look for: (2) $1 MG "Multi Poker" uprights in high-limit
area.

I did find and play the

(1) $1 slant-top in raised area near ice cream shop room. (a very old
coin-fed, coin-dropper)

I also played a slightly less old $1 upright FPJW with bill acceptor
(but not TITO) near a cashier cage on the Fremont Street side of the
casino.

I can't believe that the above post is correct!

When I was there, 3 weeks ago, there were still a multitude of FPJW
machines, at .25 denom., all over the casino. JW is far and away
the most popular vp game at the EC. If they removed them, they would
lose most of their local patrons. Additionally, while I was there,
a few weeks ago, they put in a bank of 10 NEW TITO's, most of which
contained FPJW! Why would they put them in only to remove them a
few weeks later?

Perhaps the poster was referring to .50 or 1.00 denom. FPJW. There
were much fewer of these, but they did have some, as of my last
trip.

I would be very interested to know if anyone can either verify or
dispute the facts of the above post.
