Hi there, just wanted to let you know about the horrendous video poker
conditions in Brantford.

http://corporate.olgc.ca/charity/brantford.jsp

First, the $0.25 and $0.50 Gamemaker machines don't even have Pick'em
available!!! And, the $1.00 machines have Pick'em of the short pay
variety (like much of Woodbine). Anyways, I stuck to $0.50 Let It Ride
and got a 4-of-a-kind for full pay (750 coins) and a straight flush for
1 coin (600 coins). I've read that Let It Ride is slightly better than
a short pay Pick'em game...

Don't worry about it. If you can find a good $5 or $10 Spanish 21 or
Blackjack table, the house edge is far lower than 9/6 Jacks or Better.

That's true in most cases but Brantford has those horrendous automatic
shufflers. While they do speed up the game and make it more random, I
like the occassional break + the sometimes favourable 'clumping' that
occurs in hand shuffled games. The Toronto Ex is a nice place to find
very 'green' dealers for at least 2 weeks a year.

Also, Brantford has this crazy sucker, whoops, optional sidebet where
betting and extra $1 each hand gets you a miniscule (?) chance of
winning a large pot if you should happen to score 4 Aces of the same
colour.

Perhaps the Ex is okay for counters who are pleased with (when
available) a $5-$25 spread. My main problems with the Ex: 1. No free
drinks. 2. Bad service. When playing mini-baccarat, a "pit boss"
threatened to take away a bet that I placed AFTER the dealer cleared
my bet and the cards. I haven't been back since.

Progressive Blackjack does have a positive expectation possibility.
