Fw: XVP, XVP Spam e-mail

Yes, I usually get about a dozen every 2 or 3 days, even though I have subscribed to my email providers (Cox Cable) anti-spam service. When you subscribe to this, they are supposed to automatically filter out any spam so you never see them. If you do get some, they provide an email address where you can forward them to so they can investigate and hopefully put the spammers out of business. Unfortunately I have been with this service for over a year and still get lots of spam. When I get a new spam I move it to my "SPAM" folder. Every 2 or 3 days, when I have collected about a dozen in my "SPAM" folder, I forward all of them at once to Cox. I usually receive a "thank you" message from Cox, but still seem to get the same amount of spam. Perhaps, Cox is doing some good but they are a long way from eliminating the problem. You are right that they are probably harvesting addresses from the yahoo groups but I don't know what can be done about it and suppose this is just one of the inconveniences of life.

I get anywhere from 5 to 25 spam e-mails each day to my yahoo
address. The main place I use it is here on this forum. So, I
conclude the spammers must be harvesting the addresses, probably from
this site (of course, I do not know for sure)

My questions are: Do others on this forum have the same problem?

Is there anything we can do about it.

I know it does not relate to vp, but it sure is a nuisance.
