The IRS doesn't define a "session." In our book Marissa and I have about 6 pages of discussion on record-keeping that should help anyone with questions. There is usually no short answer to a question about taxes and gambling. That's why I felt the need for a book on the subject. Marissa is a very sharp gambler AND a financial advisor and tax preparer so between the two of us, we cover most of the questions you might have. What people "think" or feel is "logical" about these tax issues is often very far from reality.
