Some weeks ago, I posted a message of an incident at Sam's Town in
which a bartender seemed to be holding machines on behalf of
employees.
Enclosed is the total exchange bewtween me and the Slot Dept of Sam's

Hey Elliot,
Thank you for being understanding about the incident. I spoke
with the Beverage supervisor and I can tell you that he did handle this
issue and we should not see this happen again. If you run into any issues
like this in the future, please contact the Slot Shift Manager so that we
can handle the issue immediately. On the other subject, we have tried to do things a little
different than our competition. We have tried to even the playing field
for all our customers. In the old days we used to give based solely on
coin in numbers which was great for the people who played games like the
dollars at Billy Joes for example. The machines are very low hold, they
could earn many points and on average did not need a large bank roll to do
so. At that time the people who played the lower denoms may have lost
more money but were not able to achieve the large coin in number and thus
did not receive much in benefits. We have since tried to create a system
where the small player who comes in every day is rewarded according to
their play rather than solely on coin in. That is where this process
begins to get confusing and probably why our people are somewhat unsure
of the process. If you have time please look me up and we can chat about
the process so you better understand how it works. Thanks Tim"Elliott L. Shapiro" <elliotts2345@earthlink.net>

Subject: Re: Fw: Stagecoach BarThank you for your reply.
As a general rule, I have found your slot people and your bartenders
to be extremely helpful, always courteous, etc.
This was probably an insolated incident.I do have one more comment.
When I play at Stations, Ariz Charlie, and at many, many others, all
of which have some kind of Bounce back program, I KNOW the criteria
for getting $x in Bounce back free play. Your policy is a "Don't Ask,
We Won't Tell", and therefore is discouraging to an individual who
selects a goal and then pursues it.. I KNOW what it takes at other
casinos/ I do NOT know at Sam's Town and therefore do not play there
as often as I might. My home will be on Stallion Mountain Country
Club grounds and you are certainly the nearest to me.Thank you agin for hearing me out.

Subject: Stagecoach BarYesterday, I was playing at the bar around 11:00 AM. All seats were
filled as the Progressive Royal was over $2500. One employee was
playing and the the 2 seats ajacent to his has napkins over the games
and therefore were "out of service"
After about one half hour of losing play, I asked the bartender if the
machine next to me was really being played and was told "yes".
5 or 10 minutes later, a coctail waitress, obviously off duty, came
in, played first one and then the other "closed" machines.
It was obvious to me that the bartender was saving seats for
employees. Several customers attempted to play but left as all of the
seats were either being played or were being saved.I do not think that it is fair for a bartender to save seats to the
detriment of the regular customers.I called a slot supervisor who said that he would "look into it"
I then left.
