No changes noticed at Bally's, Paris, or Caesars. In particular the NSUD by
the cigar store are still there and the $1 JB is still in the old high limit
room.

Database pages should be updated to reflect the elimination of cashback.

At the Flaming O, I only looked at the high limit room. They have added a
slew of MGMD single-line machines. All the ones I checked had 9/6/239 JB in
$5/10/25 with the usual assortment of Harrah's short-pay games added.
Unfortunately the Pink Chicken's long-standing secret high-limit play, the
$5 2PJW, is no more.

I've been told by informed sources that cb remains, but at .1, at
least at Bally's/Paris. My Caesars host had told me cb was likely to
remain but only at .1, but I haven't spoken with her recently.

$5 JW2 at Flamingo is long gone. The theo on that game sounded like it
was ridiculously low. One player I know put in a two-day, 30K coin in
trip and couldn't get anything comped. Now part of it was that the
player plays elsewhere, and this would get him at least RFL anywhere
else outside of Vegas. But theother part of it was that the Flamingo
host was obviously directionally impaired. He must of thought he was
working kitty corner from the Flamingo, instead of actually at the
Flamingo, a property generally only discussed these days when it comes
to what will be the next big Strip casino scheduled for demolition.

I'm guessing your source was referring to the mystery bounceback cash, as
there is no cashback on the Total Rewards card. Harrah's bounceback is an
unpublished formula but seems to be a small percent of theoretical rather
than of coin in. The 0.1% of coin in figure is the right ballpark but I
don't think it's exact.

Thanks for the correction...Harrah's BB differs from property to
property. I have seen it from .006 to .175 to 1.5% spread out over 2
to 5 trips depending on month and recency of player visit. Part of
HET's "rewarding future play" policy seems to revolve around the fact
that the longer you wait between trips to a certain HET property, the
better the offers become (a $100 offer might become a $150 offer).

When I was at CP in January, one of the bartenders at the Sportsbook
Bar claimed that the bar and the area around the bar were going to be
remodeled ( removed and replaced with new ) in April. His impression
was that they would be removing the 9-6 JOB at that time.
Unfortunately, he also offered a great deal of unsolicited and useless
VP advice so I'm not sure how much faith I have in his information.
Either way, I'll be out there next week and in May to see if there is
any truth to the rumor.

Very likely the VP of slots informed the bartender of this information
during their regular meeting to discuss which players are tipping well.

Cogno,

Thank you for the reply but, now you've piqued my interest and
provided me with an opportunity to show my ignorance. What exactly are
they looking for in a meeting like this ?

Could it be they're looking for a missing sense of humor? Or maybe
a frighteningly absent recognition/understanding of gentle sarcasm?

You'll have to forgive me for missing that one. I was very, very
tired since I spent the entire day out snipe hunting. Didn't get
anything but I sure have some stories to tell.

I shall now reveal my NFL betting strategy. On Sunday mornings
before the games start all your casino bartenders are busy trying to
get the drinks out and fill out their parlay cards at the same
time. Just walk up and ask them for their picks. Take the
oppositee of what they are betting and you will clean up.

You're shooting too high! Ask the homeless guys
on Fremont street how they're betting then
bet the reverse. Guys who are still employed
make the right call some of the time.
