Fw: Palms local BB Mailers

Re Jean's Palm's posting:: " Here is one snippet of information I found out for the Palms. Their
January mailers to locals were based on play from July 21 to (or through,
who knows?) Dec. 18"

My play during the above quoted period was (circa) $280,000, virtually all during November and December. None was on machines excluded from promotions or mailers

January was the first time in many years I did not receive a mailer (at times for minmal or even no play)

I was told that it was based on win/loss, which seems to be a change in Maloof philosopy,

Anyone have a similar experience?

Interesting because I have never gotten any Palms Promos and have been playing there for years. I play strictly dollars or sometimes $5.00 in the high limit but mostly the 10/7 dollar progressives near the buffet. Then all of a sudden in the past 2 months I must have gotten 5 or 6 of them. Weird but I will take them as some of them are pretty aggressive 3 free nights in a suite $350 in free play and $100 spa credit.
I think the difference is I really bitched on of the hosts out because of the lack of offers so I can only assume they added me to some list.
I do love the Palms by far my favorite casino to stay and the Palms Place one BR suites are the best rooms I have ever had in LV.

Yes. Even when I was sick and couldn't play for nearly 3 months, I recieved a mailer. This month no mailer . Every since, I started playing I recieved some kind of mailer. When I called a person at the club desk told me I wasn't listed for a mailer and gave me the name and number of someone in marketing. I called, and left a message. and my call was never returned.

I, an out of towner with very little play at the Palms, have received a room offer (3 nights with $100 free play or a $75 food credit). Someone is certainly doing something differently there.

Appears they are going after out of state business. I received a three day
suite offer with $150/$150 offer. I played two or three hours at $1 and
less machines in July!

i did not receive a january mailer, and was told it was because i beat
them for a lot last month. four grand is a lot?

they emphasized that i am not blacklisted, and if i continue to play,
i might receive mailers in future.

conclusion: if you have a net loss at palms, and are currently
receiving mailers, stop playing. if you play and lose, you get nothing
extra, but if you play and win, the mailers might stop.

cheers,

Pointing out what is clearly obvious, this is a particularly dumb policy on the part of Palms. Managing play based on ST wins or losses is clearly not in their best interests. It's just driving away patrons they should be profitable on in the long term if they are managing their operation.

I have to disagree as long as the Palms continues to offer 100% positive play VP I will continue to play there. Comps or no comps I view any comps at the Palms as a bonus an appreciate there offerings. How can a casino survive with positive play VP generous comps and a winning customer?

My husband and I have played a few times at the Palms..(slots too as well as the FP). However, we've never received a mailer. Now, I'm not looking for offers or coupons, but it sure would be nice if they mailed me a calendar of events. It would seem to me that the marketing department *might* use those mailing addresses that they have.

Again, I don't think we've played enough to get any offers, but we've not played just the FP, we played slots as well and we don't go to the palms except as an "hey let's stop in". I'd probably play more if I knew about any promotions. But alas, am in the dark :)..
