FW: Harrah's properties in Vegas eliminating cashback??? others???

A lot smaller is an understatement. If there isn't some sort of major change the Diamond Lounges will close. Right now with 15 people eating chips at 7pm on a Saturday night is a waste and bad for gamblers morale. Everyone under 65 and from out of town said they would not be coming back to Vegas. They have cut show tickets, RFB, amount of comp nights, amount of hosts, and more. Even the coupons when you check in are gone.

I was at Paris today and was told at Total Rewards club that as of May 1
there will no longer be "cash in the mailbox" cashback. I don't know if this
affects properties other than Vegas or not. I asked a couple of hosts and they
hadn't heard of this. TR person told me they will replace it with
"something" - that a lot of people didn't know they had Cash in the Mailbox - but this
doesn't make a lot of sense. She didn't know what the replacement would be
(or really would there be one).

So ???
------------ -

Meanwhile a suggestion - it is a good idea to ask at the Total Rewards club
if you have any uncashed "cash in the mailbox' for the last 6 months. Almost
every time we check, we find some uncashed money, and they will fill out a
voucher for it. We've probably gotten over $500 in lost checks this way.
------------ -

Another suggestion - write to Harrah's President Gary Loveman and complain
_talktogary@ harrahs.com _ (mailto: talktogary@harrahs. com )
!!
------------ ----
A side note - went to Paris Diamond club today - found various spreads such
as wild mushroom, olive, onion, hard-as-a-rock pita bread, potato chips,
breadsticks, weird rice crackers, and some deserts.

I was told 1 or 2 hot dishes are served 4-6pm. Paris club seems to have
same hours as Harrahs Vegas - open 12-9 Fri and Sat., 4-9 rest of week.

Number of people at Diamond clubs seems a lot smaller to me. I'm sure
servers are getting fewer tips.

A host said they are getting complaints, but Total Rewards personnel seemed
unaware of any complaints or even of changes.

What does "They have cut show tickets...." mean?

As a Diamond member, I am still receiving (and using) the two free show
tickets every month. Yesterday, I called TR to confirm that the Nathan
Burton show has been added to the free shows list (it is) and to confirm
that I can get two tickets to two different shows in the same month (I
can). The representative did not mention anything about cutbacks regarding
show tickets.

So, please explain what "They have cut show tickets...." means. Thanks.

Two single tickets to different shows can be done, but is a hassle. I tried to get a second show ticket in April and the computer showed i had already used TWO tickets. A friend and I saw Nathan Burton last Wednesday and thought he was pretty good.
