Here is a blurb from an article published yesterday. Can you guess what
casino outfit this is referencing?

Actually it is a trick question. Answer is the Edgewater in Laughlin.
To review, the Edgewater and its next door sister, Colorado Belle were bought
by Marnell-Sher from MGM/Mirage. MGM/Mirage got them when they bought the
Mandalary Resort Group. Marnell-Sher got the keys on June 1st and immediately
went to work.
New slot club with a 1.2% basic card. New machines, so they are 100% TITO.
Also, the Marnells are foodies.
Anthony Marnell II built and ran the Rio. Food was a priority. So it is
exiciting to see and anticipate upgraded options in Laughlin, known for a lower
level of offerings.
This week's Laughlin Entertainer magazine features an article about the
Edgewater happenings:

Tricia Yearwood.
In past issues the Colorado Belle was featured. They talked-up Chef Micheal
Demers, who was with the Marnell's at the Rio (Napa). He also did stints at
Alize (Palms) and Bouchon (Venetian).
Marnell shut down the nicest dinner house, The Orleans Room, immediately on
June 1st. No word what will transpire yet. I have experiended the upgraded
pub grub in the Boiler Room brewery, which added a lunch menu.
Can't wait to see what happens next.
