So there I was playing VP yesterday afternoon and it popped into my
head. So I went into my "Mickey, you (&*%&#$(^) idiot" routine for
being stupid times 29. I forgot to compensate for crippled draws.
To many laps around the sun. So I whip out the pocket calc and run
some numbers. Damn, I thought, that's gonna blow the ER way down.
You see, about l8% of the time when holding AA or 33 you are gonna
have an A or 3 discard. The same for AAA or 333. Luckily my
discovery led to another discover.
I did a cursory "does the kicker play?" In the case of holding AA
or 33, it doesn't. But if the bonus were a little higher we would
have our first case of holding a kicker with a pair. In the case of
AAA3X or 333AX that kicker do be playing. It's not even close.
Same thing for 9/6 Jacks. Think about it. The full house draw pays
more than the 4K draw.
So I made the revisions and the numbers look like this:
Flop Aces/threes 54145
2 Pair Aces/threes and convert 19247
3K Aces or threes and convert 55471
Pair Aces or threes and convert 26947
That averages to 7970 or .5%.
Now, for the past couple of weeks I have been freeloading at my best
friends house. I'm freeloading on his computer as we speak. But,
I'm leaving today to go and freeload on a casino. So, unless I find
