Frontier desperate for players??

The Frontier must be desperate for players. We stayed in a suite at the Frontier for years. When they removed the DW progressive in December 2001 we decided to take our play elsewhere. On our first stay at the GC they would only comp 2 nights up front so we also took 4 nights in a suite at the Frontier. We put on less than 2000 points combined for the 4-day stay. In August we stayed at the Frontier again because they offered 5 nights in a suite up front. We gave them less than 2500 points combined for the 5 days. They repeated the offer and we stayed in October for 5 nights and again gave them less than 2500 points combined. In December we repeated the same thing. 5 nights in a suite, less than 2500 points. I have booked my next stay at the Frontier again. This time they offered us 4 nights in a suit EACH. We are going to stay 6 nights. I find it hard to believe that they keep comping us in a suite when we have given them a combined coin-in of between $1500 and $2000 per day all year.

When we were there 2 weeks ago the best game I found was the Aces Bonus progressive (spell ACES). The game is 99.4% EV at reset and reaches 100% at $1292. The meter went from just over $1400 when we arrived to just under $1600 when we left. You can use 9/6 JB strategy playing this game with almost no loss of EV.

Specifically whare are the Aces Bonus machines found?
What is the underlying game?
Are the Aces progressive as well?

Elliott,

There is a bank of 5 across from the slot club. The base game is 8/5 BP.
Only the RF is progressive.

-Hi 5-card

I was wondering how the suites are at Frontier now. I used the
suites a couple times. They seem to be not so nice. Also, they are so
far away from everything, price being same (free), I don't like them.
On a late Saturday night, when the cowboys are letting out of Gillys,
I fear a holdup in that area. I would rather stay Across from the old
DI property. Smaller rooms but closer to everything. Have they redone
the suites in last couple years?

I guess Frontier is wanting new customers. I have been there on a
busy weekend and bar was packed. Here's the rub; No one was playing
the bar machines. The Frontier doesn't have very many players. I
would like to see someone like Trump buy the place. The Frontier is a
good property.

Other joints are looking for customers too. Last trip for me included
$1000 free play at Mirage. Orleans also sent me 3 nights and my wife
3 free nights and I don't play much there.

Have a good new year...........Whitejeeps

Hi Whitejeeps,

I think that it was 2 years ago that they remodeled the suites. They still
look like they did 10 years ago.

Last spring Phil Ruffin said that he entered into a 50/50 partnership to
build a 1500 room hotel and casino on the west parking lot property. He said
that they should break ground in early 2003 but I have not heard anything
lately.

At that time he said that Phase II would be to tear down the Frontier to
make room for the San Francisco theme hotel.

What a hoot !!

From the past. I scanned some of my old posts. WOW; time is flying. I can’t believe the old

names from the past springing out at me, recalling old memories. Makes me feel like an old dog.

Young or old should get a charge out of your own old posts. I got a charge remembering staying at Mirage:

CB WAS GREAT… Mirage had 9/6 JOB. I remember a bank of at least 10 flat tops. CB was .66%. On going home day, we would cash our CB. A week of play would net me 8 - 9 - 10 hundred CB. The icing on the cake, we got CASH, not “free play”. Bounce back cash was good. Shows and eats good Management was happy to see us. Back in early 2000s some casinos would refund air fares if u brought your flight receipt.

Alas, times have changed…

Cheers…Jeep
