Freeplay Coupons

i was chatting with a total rewards boothling at cherokee and complaining
about the coupon/key number method they use for freeplay. he said that next
year all caesar's properties would be emailing freeplay notices, which
would then appear in your card bank when you insert it into a machine, as
some casinos already do. has anyone else heard this? (i hope.) thanks.

That would surprise me, since Harrahs SoCal had been going the other direction, requiring everyone to show ID at the cage to have free play added (likely to cut down on helpful friends).

interesting point, though other casinos have been doing this for a while.
perhaps a room reservation is also required?

There's at least one CZR property that has dropped the download codes (3-digit number). You still follow the rest of the download procedure ... PIN required to d/l into your bank; you then load onto your maxhine from bank as desired.

Mine was code free in October and December, the wife had to use code all year at Casino Windsor. This is not true for locals at Harrah's Southern California (formerly Rincon). Simply inserting a card results in free play added to the online Bank which can be played later. This is for the weekly (this month twice weekly) free play. It's also true for the monthly free play (when you get it), the Mystery free play on certain days, and many others. Some promotions, like U-Choose, require taking a slip from a kiosk to the cashier. Those require ID to receive the paper free play that anyone could use at a machine. So, most free play is accessed without an ID at any machine and without codes as they do in Atlantic City.

At Horseshoe Baltimore they do seem to be getting away from the US mail and using primarily email (don't know how this works with people who do not use email). Then all you do is insert your card and enter your account passcode and the promotional freeplay drops into your bank. Anything downloaded to your bank in a calendar month is good until the 5th of the following month.

Baltimore also seems to have a different approach to marketing which is probably good since it is more of a local focus. Lots of smaller offers for just about every day at the week with a two or three week advance notice.
