It is downright scary and amazing how powerful a tool the vpFREE homepage can
be to explore any relevant issue. So, is there a best pizza in Vegas
listing/link yet?

There is one at the coffee bar (I'm not speaking of the coffee shop,
but the coffee bar in the lobby area) in the LVHilton.

If you find one, let me know! As a Chicago transplant, I have yet to find a pizza place that
measures up to what I'm used to. Or used to be used to; I've been here for 5 years now and
have nearly forgotten what good pizza tastes like! Hope springs eternal, though. A new
place in Henderson recently received top honors from some Italian pizzeria society for
making true Neopolitan pizzas. (This is murky. The LVRJ artcle was from March 29th, and I'd
have to pay to re-read it.) I still haven't visited because true Italian pizzas aren't my thing
(remember, I'm from Chicago, so give me something with a little crust on it, or a real deep-
dish). Besides, they don't use pepperoni toppings, a staple in this household.

Thanks to everyone who responded to this. I somehow missed the
internet access link on VPFree. It's now in my favorites. I found
the place I was looking for. Krispy Kreme in Fitzgerald's. The
perfect spot for a downtown gambler.

The restaurant I believe you are referring to is Settebellow and it is
located at 1776 Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson. Also, it is now an
award, but they adhere to the standards set for by the Vera Pizza
Napoletana (VPN). Here is a link to the website that includes
additional information and the menu for those interested in trying
something different:

There are branches of two well-known Chicago pizza restaurants in Henderson. Rosatti's has two locations in Henderson, and we love their pizza. (The tomato sauce that they use on their Chicago style pizza is "to die for.") Note, you can't eat in their restaurants-- they're only take-out, but it's FABULOUS. We haven't tried Aurelio's (the local branch of the other chain), as we're bigger fans of NY-style pizza, but it's supposedly authentic.

On a related note, Settebello is Italian style pizza. They ship in their ingredients from Italy, and if you like Italian style pizza (which has less sauce, less cheese and sparser toppings than American style pizza) you'll really like it.

The Chicago Brewing Company makes a pizza that may be close to what
you'rs looking for. There are two locations: in the Four Queens cigar
bar (limited menu), and 2201 S. Fort Apache Road. Somehow I'm thinking
the pizza is or used to be available in 4Q's coffee shop.

If that doesn't get it, spend money on a plane ticket to Chicago and
hit Gino's East, Uno's, or whatever your favorite might be.

Yes! Thank you so much. I was hoping to give it a try, especially since it's quite nearby my

Thank you Frank,

Lainie,

I'll be sure to add these to my "to try" list. Hopefully, it'll be the end of my own personal
odyssey (with my apologies to Homer).

I once ordered a pizza here in LV with extra cheese, and it actually came with the dough
uncooked in the center! Now, I know it'll be a little soggier, but completely uncooked was
bizarre, especially since I had ordered extra cheese from this same place before without
problem. I ended up cooking it in my oven at home.

Thanks Lainie,
Bettie

That's one that never occurred to me to try, for some reason. Probably because I don't drink
a lot of beer and I'm pretty quiet, so the idea of hanging out in a pub-type atmosphere just
never crossed my mind. Didn't they have a location at Paradise/Flamingo? I'm rarely near the
two locations you mention, but next time I'm downtown, I'll make a point to give it a try.

Thanks Pat,

During our recent trip, we stayed at the Plaza and the Las Vegas club...and since they didn't have Wi-Fi, and we could not grab a free hot-spot....we opted for the $9.99 24 hour deal from CHEETAH.NET which advertized W9-Fi for Downtown and the Strip. DON'T BE FOOLED.

We even had trouble keeping a strong enough signal long enough to sign up, and after that, it got worse. We use Pre-N and I've NEVER had the trouble (worldwide) that I had with Cheetah. This was a Sunday, and after we had problems, we tried their "support" phone number, which rings to a guys voice mail and tells you that he'll be back on Monday. No help.

We gave up and used dial. Perhaps the STRIP service is better, but it was useless downtown.

You have been warned.

Hi, Fred. Vegas Club did have an internet kiosk at their snack
bar. I've used it off and on for a few years. Last September was
the last time. 60 minutes for $12.00. By just checking my e-mail
every couple of days and not being on more than 5 to ten minutes at
a time I could make the card last a long time. Making lengthy posts
would be rather expensive though. Those type of kiosks are all over
Vegas now. You see the signs everywhere. But some are really
expensive. The Stardust Kiosk wanted $20.00 for a one hour card.
Right across the street you could get one for $12.00.

I'm guessing you are a heavy internet user and this wouldn't work
for you, but maybe will for others. After my recent discovery that
VPFree has an internet access link I went over it and found a page
that listed all the casino hotels in Las Vegas that have internet
access along with the type and cost, if there is any. Good Luck.

Thanks, Mickey.

And, yes, I am a power user. I telecommute for a living so even when we travel to Vegas, I can officially "got to work" as long as I have internet access and then not have to use "vacation days", so I need at least a good solid 8 hours of high speed access if I am to use my IP Phone, etc.

We did ask the Vegas Club about thier kiosl, but were told it was "somewhere" and about $20 an hour. Thanks for the suggestions though, they are always possibilities when needed.
