Does anybody have any experience with free wi-fi in Laughlin? I'll be staying at the Colorado
Belle. Apparently there's free wi-fi across the street in the mall, up on the second floor by
the escalator. Does anybody have any experience with this, like, is it fast? The other two
places in Laughlin that apparently have free wi-fi are the Old Town Saloon (by Harrah's) and
the Laughlin Public Library but, again, I've never used any of these three and was wondering
if one is any better than the other. I'd like to take my laptop along and take advantage of
some free wi-fi but I'm a neophyte in this area.
Free wi-fi in Laughlin?
When I was in town a few weeks ago, I brought my new laptop along. I
tried to check for connections in my room at the Belle. I picked up
about 5 or 6- all were secured, and one was an open port(said
Colorado Belle). I tried to connect, but the signal was too weak. I
never tried again, and I went back to playing VP. I was staying in a
boat room, and it is possible other areas of the CB the signal might
have been strong enough.

Thanks, C. I'll give that a try before doing anything else.

Please let us know how it works out. I've taken to leaving my laptop
at home for my casino trips since I haven't been able to conveniently
find good wi-fi.
Thanks! Drew

Will do. If it works out you'll hear from me anytime after this Wednesday.

I've used wi-fi at the Laughlin library many times. You should have
no problem there. There weren't many handy electrical outlets though,
so plan to arrive with a fully charged battery.
While dry-camping on the hillside overlooking the River Palms I could
see many wi-fi signals. The only free, unsecured network I saw was at
the Best Western motel across the river in Bullhead City. You'll need
a directional antenna (Hawking or something similar) to use it.
Old Town Saloon was only a couple hundred yards away, but I didn't
think to try pointing my antenna that direction.

Well C, and anyone else interested..CB charges for their wi-fi. It's $6.00 an hour but they
also have special rates for a few days. I stopped in at the Regency just now to have a
burger on my way over to the outlet mall. And guess what! The Regency is picking up the
mall's hotspot. So here I sit at the lunch counter.

So the Tropical Cow is a hot spot, huh? Actually that $8.95 prime rib
dinner special was pretty good for the price. $6.00/hour at the Belle?
I don't think so. I hope the trip is going well.
