When I called back on the 26th to get a name in case of problems with the
"extended" offer, they told me now it was only for the national offer and
not the locals offer and that they did not have two consecutive dates open
through the 30th. After explaining how the only reason I didn't book then
was because the person there offered that it was extended and that I would
go ahead and book the one night and a letter would be forthcoming, she
talked to a supervisor and gave me the extended dates but I had to book the
dates right then.

This entire offer seems to have been plagued by miscommunications.
When we attempted to check in on Tuesday night, I was told that
there was no record of any reservation in my name. When I showed
them the letter I received and gave them the confirmation number,
they told me to wait while they checked with the marketing
department. After about 15 minutes, they found a room for us
(smoking, although I had specifically requested non) and all was
well. The rooms are very nice, and the pool area is beautiful. So as
not to feel like total freeloaders, we played some short pay VP for
about ten minutes, and actually spent money (not something often
done by locals) for the excellent breakfast buffet.
