Free Play

Although not a frequent traveler to the Sun, I do find it interesting
that some people are getting free play offers. Is this the first time
this has been done at the Sun ? Basically its the beginning of what
is todays definition( for many casinos) of cashback . This is a plus,
perhaps due to increased( and future) competition from surrounding
states ?

It was the first time I ever received Freeplay from
MS. Real easy to download ( I did on Pick-em) plus I
don't think you had to put in any money to activate
the Free Play.

It was also a double promo night,in addition to the
Free Play, I played in the 75K slot tournament. This
is something you can't do in Vegas.

---Hi Joel,
I bet I did worse in the slot tournament than you. Probably because I
brought my fan club with me. I have been told that there will be more
free play based on actual play. This offer was very limited and sent
out by marketing on a random basis. I am curious to see how it plays
out.

Hi Mel,

I didn't make the winners board either. I thought I
might make the top 25 with a total of 11,500 pts. And
I didn't get my ears pulled either. (:

I think I had about 6,800 total and the person next to me had more

Wow-- it looks like I'm in the minority.
First, each month I get $1000+ free play, RFB, + BIG tourneys' drawings for vegas. I give the
casinos about the same $$ play per visit, but I only go 1-4 times year to vegas. I've gotten
$5000 holiday shoping spree's in vegas while I think the best I've ever gotton at MS was
about $1000. As for decent playable VP, it is dwindling every where, but in LV you can still
find it over a large range of coin-in/hours amounts. VP Gaming at MS seems to favor long
hours of play rathen than higher limits to earn the same number of points (coin in). That is,
is there a good vp game where I can earn 1000 or 2000 points in a reasonable about of time
at MS? Oh, please tell!

I don't think that anyone is saying MS is better that
Vegas. Just that for a Casino with no competition, in
the middle of nowhere, that doesn't require a 7 hr
plane ride, it is a pretty good play.

It's not that hard to find machines where you can earn
1000 pts a night at MS.

What type of play does it take to get a $5000 shopping
spree?

In every offer I receive from Vegas it is either the
Free Play or the tournament. Offers can ever be double
booked. Maybe they make exceptions. My host has booked
on back to back promos at the same hotel.

I also go to Vegas 2-4 times a year. Three weeks to go
and I can't wait.

No, seriously, the $5-5play JOB made 500+ points/ hour easy. Ye old $10 + $5 pick'em
(at the same time) was good for about the same. There were of course some other choices
here and there. But now, the $25 pick'em is pretty much unplayable (too many w2-g's)
and the lone $10's are not quite that fast (+ the points have gotten a bit low!) I'd love to
hear about other "high limit" plays (private email would be fine) that might be hiding
somewhere. Seven hours to make 1000 points is too much. Maybe 3 or 4 is my limit now.

What type of play does it take to get a $5000 shopping spree?

It certainly varies a lot from casino to casino (and on theo), but 3/4 days of $250K action
each trip (>$1M/trip) a few times a year (near the end of the year iis better) should do the
trick-- unless of course you end up a big winner... or overspend your comps. Be very
careful with theo, don't overplay unless its positive-- so talk to your host. They should let
you know not only the theo but also the comp rate (as in they comp you 10% of the theo,
etc)

In every offer I receive from Vegas it is either the
Free Play or the tournament. Offers can ever be double

Yes, its rare to double book at one casino. Sometimes you can agree to check out.check in
again (for the computers really) to get the job done. But I do find that most tourney's come
with free play-- or you can ask for it (though you might not get it uness you are a loser
recently). Remember, at $1M/trip you are going to be one of the bigger players (though by
no means a whale) for many tournies -- though your action is not worth that much to
them (as if you were a slot player, etc).

There are a few other options. It takes me probably 8
hours to get 1000 pts playing pick-em and ddb.
e-mail me privately and I'll send you the info.

Hi Jack,
Here's one, In the old high limit lounge in the Casino
of the Earth, If you walk in the first blue machine on
your left where you would be facing out to the casino
has $5 9/6 ddb. I believe it is a max of 30 coins, I
never played more then 10, it's fast as hell. The two
machines along side it have 6/5 ddb.
