OK, Scot, we get what you're looking for. But I might very well pose
a few hypotheticals along the same vein:
You're about to pop your last $20 into a machine before ending your
semi-annual LV trip. Do you play your trusty $.25 FPDW or switch to a
play that has the potential to make up for ALL your past losses with
one hit? If you play that FPDW, do you play standard strategy or
stretch for the royal on some holds?
Maybe you're not leaving to fly cross country but just to take a long
needed meal or bathroom break. Are you inclined to undertake a
go-for-broke play to try and end your session on a positive note?
Of course, the difference between these scenarios and yours is that
you don't have ownership in the free play dollars until they are
played off. However, if someone has the general goal of maximizing
the value of the free play then they'll play it off as they would
their own cash.
On the other hand, it they have other goals in mind, then they'll do
with it what they find most satisfying.
