Oh, and IMHO, Blue Label is highly overrated, and isn't really any
better than something like The Macallan (12 yr). At the end of the
day, Jonnie Walker Blue is still a blended scotch.
Up to a year and a half or so the lounges at Mohegan Sun in CT used
to have Jonnie Walker Blue as well as Macallan 25 as well as Remey
Martin "Extra" and XO. It was possible for quarter player to
qualify on weekdays. The Blue was the smoothest scotch I ever had
and is not over-rated, although the Macallan 25 was the best.
Subsequently they downgraded to Jonnie Walker Gold and Macallan 18
(which was then discontinued). Drink of choice is now Margarita w
all agave tequilla and Grand Marnier 100 (they used to serve the
150). There is a very high roller lounge on the 32nd floor of the
hotel which may still have the super premium booze, but dollar or
even $5 vp players need not apply.
