If prices on flight/hotel packages are any indication then Vegas is
really slow. Just go to Allegiantairlines.com and check out the
prices. Several months ago I checked out their 3 day midweek
packages for one person flying in from Montana. The absolute
cheapest package then was for the Vegas Club at $460. The Strip
packages were much more expensive. Now look at some of the prices
they have posted today:
Circus Circus............$231
Sahara...................$254
Riviera..................$261
Imperial Palace..........$279
Excalibur................$320
Harrah's.................$327
Bally's..................$333
Monte Carlo..............$345
New York, New York.......$351
Luxor....................$351
Vegas Club...............$225
Plaza....................$249
Four Queens..............$327
Golden Nugget............$345
Fremont..................$273
And if I had any room comp coming, which I do, the flight only cost
is just $118 round trip.
I haven't played in Vegas for 16 months but a couple of weeks ago I
got a recorded message from the Vegas Club offering me 3 free nights
anytime through September.
In November, 2007, I went into Circus Circus looking to play video
blackjack on a promotion, but the BJ was gone. So I played the APDW
on the promotion. I played only one day and I think I ran only $5000
in action, the best I remember. CC has been sending me offers ever
since, but the latest one I got just the other day: 4 free nights, 2
free tickets to the NASCAR race this coming weekend, and
transportation to and from the racetrack.
Monte Carlo and NY/NY have been sending me offers lately too. Must
be some kind of cross marketing.
