Frank's Las Vegas Radio Show

Thanks Guru,

I appreciate the link for the radio station. Has anyone confirmed the time when the program will air on the East coast?

Thanks,

M.

I actually have a physical radio by Acoustic Research in the bedroom that we
listen to. It connects by WiFi to my network and there is a free service on the
computer that manages the stations we want to have as "favorites" It looks just
like a regular clock radio and also has AM/FM and several other functions. We
got it because we get NO radio reception after dark in our area except one NPR
station on FM.

But you can listen to the show on your computer, for free, byt using this URL,
which is the live stream page for KLAV:

It won't be on in any station in NY, but I use an internet radio and can get

stations from anywhere, as long as they stream over the web.

Do you know what station/frequency that will be on in the NYC area?

I'm sure it will be great -- would love to check it out.

Frank,

Am I correct in assuming that's 10PM in the Pacific time zone, 1AM here in the

East?

Sounds like the shows should be interesting, will try to listen in.

Good luck - hope you do get your own show.

Thanks,

Good job, Frank. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially Jean's segment where she was talking about the feedback she gets from people who can't find plays....and how they need to do their own scouting and be flexible about it. That's how I always was. Very flexible. This is how flexible I can be:

First, you all know my drinking problem now. So here's another little secret. My driver's license was revoked in the late eighties for ten years. I never went back and got the license. I have my reasons. They were gonna make a felon out of me if I continued. I knew I was getting sloppy and never wanted to be the guy standing in a courtroom say "I'm really not a bad guy. Sorry I ran over your kid."

Trains, Planes, Greyhound, City Buses, Walk, Hitchhike. Classy Hotels, Flea Bag Hotels, whatever. I scouted out and put down plays in Laughlin, Las Vegas, Mesquite, Boulder, Reno, Tahoe (southshore and northshore), Fernly, Fallon, Elko, Ely and Wendover. I traveled with a piece of rollaway luggage and by 2002 was packing a laptop with you know what in it.

I heard thru the grapevine one time that their might be a good Joker play in Ely. There was no bus service and Ely had temporarily lost it's air service. I had to find a way in. I bought a little storage unit in Reno and threw my gear in it, including the laptop. I loaded a small backpack with a few changes of clothes and toiletries. And, oh yes, a Bob Dancer Joker Stragey Card in my wallet. I took Greyhound to Wells, Nevada where I-80 crosses Hwy 93. I got off the bus and walked out onto 93 and stuck my thumb out.

I was in Ely a couple of hours later. The guy dropped me off right at the Hotel Nevada. I checked into the hotel then surveyed the casino. I found the Jokers in the Spin Pokers....with multiple promotions. GAME ON!!!!

That's how flexible I can be when it comes to finding plays. No Car or nothing. So if you can't get out there and find your own plays don't come crying to me. I still own that backpack....just in case.

Hey, Frank. Is there anyway you could post up The Night Before New Year's here. I got a big kick out of it.

Take care

Mickey

All,

I unfortunately missed that show, would anyone happen to have a link to hear a podcast perhaps?

Thanks,

M.

Ah Mickey if only all the "pros" out there were as diligent as you! Read Mickey's post and take it as gospel as to what is required to make it as a professional gambler. Then ask yourself if it's worth it? My radio show tomorrow will be on exactly this issue.

I'll put my poem in a separate post. Merry Christmas all.
