FPDW in LV Casinos Compared

FPDW, with a 100.7% return, is one of the better VP games in many LV
casinos. I thought it would be interesting to try comparing the
casinos that offer this game, looking the highest return. Everything
here is based on the casino guide in VPfree.

FPDW is offered in 21 Las Vegas casinos. 9 of the 21 casinos are
Station/Fiesta Casinos. The only strip casinos with FPDW are the
Tropicana and the Gold Coast, unless you consider the Silverton a
strip casino.

All games are 5, 10, or 25cent denomination. There are no $1 or
higher denomination games, probably because casino executives know
the pros would attack them. However, the Fiesta Rancho has a FPDW 25
cent progressive and the Rainbow Club and Skyline casinos offer 10
coin 25 cent games (effectively 50 cent denomination games). FPDW
at the nickel, dime, and quarter level represents a good opportunity
for lower denomination LV players.

Casinos are ranked below based on Cash Back, Bounce Back Cash, and
Comps. The Bounce Back Cash rate is usually not given in VPfree, so
I assumed the same rate in those casinos ... probably not a good
assumption. Knowing the Bounce Back Cash rate would change the
rankings I'm sure. Also, since casinos offer 2x, 3x, etc. comps at
varying hours and days, this also affects the ranking. Use the
Compton/Dancer column to adjust the rankings from day to day.

The 21 casinos are ranked below, from best to worst.

Cannery (101.467%): CashBack @.167%,Bounce Back,Discret.Comps @.6%
  5, 10, and 25 cent
Longhorn (101.15%): CashBack @ .2%, No Bounce Back, Comps @ .25%

Fiesta Casinos (100.783%): Same as Station Casinos
Fiesta Rancho: FPDW Prog, 5/10/25 cent games, 5 cent 10 coin
Gold Coast (100.75%): Cash Back and Comps @ .05%, No Bounce Back
  25 cent
Sams Town (100.75%): Cash Back or Comps @ .05%, No Bounce Back

Barleys (100.7% +?): No Cash Back, No Bounce Back, Discr/Market Comps

Rainbow Club (100.7%): No Slot Club

Skyline (100.7%): No Slot Club
  5 cent –10 coin, and 25 cent –5 coin and 10 coin
Eureka (100.7%): No Slot Club

this would be very helpful info...but what is it based on...if your
getting mailers, what amt of coin-in are you using...etc...

You left off the Western. They have FPDW too. The Western ambience
is out of this world. The clientele are upscale. Best food in
town. One of the safest casinos in Las Vegas.

There are 3 maybe four FPDW scattered around the casino in quarter
denomination. Probably the only FPDW left downtown. Also 3 or four
quarter 10/7 scattered around the casino. Also, 3 or four quarter
FPJW scattered around the casino. They've all been there for years.

That area was my stomping ground back in the early nineties. The
neighborhood was not that bad back then. But it has gotten
progressively worse over the years. Lots of desperados in the
neighborhood. Getting rolled after hitting a jackpot is a real
concern.

I go down to the Western, when I'm in town, looking for my old
friend Backpack Phil. We used to ride the rails together. I
haven't seen him in a couple of years now. I don't know where he is
or if he is still living. I have feelers on the street now who will
call me if they see him. I'm concerned about the boy.

I have other friends in the neighborhood. They are all still stuck
on the bottom. I'm somewhat of a hero to them. I'm the one who
made it up and out. I never went back down. Ain't going to,
either.

It always costs me a little money to walk into the Western. They're
broke and they know I've got money. So I pass a little around.
It's just my way of giving something back.

The last time there a couple of desperadoes couldn't keep their eyes
off me. I walked up to the security podium at the front entrance,
flipped the guard a twenty and said "Get me a cab to pull up right
here at the front door, then escort me to the cab when it gets
here." He obliged.

I don't know when I will go back.

Nice analysis, brumar. Pretty valuable for local FPDW players.

My only suggestion would be that if you're going to carry out the total ER to 2 or 3 decimal places, do the same for the FPDW itself (100.7620% when played perfectly).

Thank you, brumar. This is very useful information that obviously took
