FPDW in Las Vegas

Are there any FPDW (100.76%) machines in Las Vegas that have a
greater denomination play than $.25? The database shows the Cannery
and Hard Rock have a 10 coin $.25 option. Further, the database
shows there are no comps or cash back on those machines at the Hard
Rock.
Does this mean the biggest and best bet in Las Vegas for FPDW is
$2.50 a draw at the Cannery? I know there are other deuces version,
but I specifically want to know if $.25 is the largest for FPDW?
Is there no $.50 or greater machine in the entire city? If so,
this obviously explains part of the problem Wynn had with the $1
version for the short period of time those machines were available.

Thanks

The Hard Rock has them.

The Cannery, to my knowledge, does not have 10 coiners (nor does the
database page for the Cannery say they do.)

The Rainbo Club has them, but no slot club.

There may be the occasional higher denomination FPDW machine around town,
but those that know where they are usually keep them a secret - once they
become public knowledge, they're not long for the world.

My mistake. I should have listed Boulder Station as the other
example in the database. It is listed right above the Cannery in
the Las Vegas Cross Directory database. Unfortunately I tpyed in
Cannery after leaving the source.
So are you saying there is some hope, but I am on my own?
Would as little as a $.50 machine cause a problem leading to it
disappearance? It sounds like there is little reason to look for
a $5 or higher denomination FPDW machine!
I am less then 2 years into video poker and any detail awareness
of Las Vegas video poker plays. Just curious, but did $5 and higher
machines ever exist with FPDW. If they did, about when did they
become extinct?

Skyline also has a number of 10 quarter FPDW with no club. Some
quarter 7s are wild also.

The Skyline (no slot club) on Boulder Highway has a bank of 6 .25

10 machines.

You can forget about finding FPDW above the $.50 level.

Your email gave me a flashback to my own situation about 3 years ago. I personally scoured every major casino in Las Vegas (about 35 at the time) by foot and bus, not knowing about vpFREE or any other internet resources. The best game I could find at that time was $.50 FPDW (actually, $.25 10-coin) at Fiesta Henderson. I then went to one of Bob Dancer's classes at the now-imploded Castaways, and asked him the following question (paraphrasing):

"Bob, what games do you play at high denominations? Because I can only find FPDW up to $.25 10-coin."

Bob answered that I had to start investigating slot clubs and taking cash back into consideration. That was a real eye-opener for me, and introduced me to another level of the advantage VP game. For example, NSUD with .6% cashback is 100.33%, a positive game. This can be found at many Coast casinos on double points days to this day, up to the $25 level. So that's the sort of thing you need to look for at $5 and above. Beyond that, there is also BB or "bounceback" cash that gets mailed to locals, so consider establishing a local address as well, if you're really interested in maximizing your return at the greatest number of casinos.

Hope that helps you on your road,
  John

And those who played it for any appreciative length of time got backed
off the mail.

I believe Bally's had some $25 FPDW and 10-7-80 DB back in the mid
'90s; but this was before my time. Some of the old timers would
probably know better. The 10-7-80 I'm certain about.

I've been playing vp in LV for about 10 years and have never
seen a $5 FPDW machine. I seem to recall hearing that Reserve
had some for a few days when they first opened in early 1998.

Three or four $1 FPDW were around until recently. You really had to
look hard to find them. There was one on the CA state line, and
another on the AZ state line. Both long gone.

Yes there were (I think) three $5 FPDW when the Reserve (now Fiesta
Henderson) first opened. They were played into extinction. They did
have $1 FPDW for a very long while and plenty of other FP VP.

If I remember correctly, there were also a few $5 FPDW when the Monte
Carlo first opened.
