Richard,

Jackie,

To my understanding, the amiga cip is a multitask chip that
combines a 32-bit processor core, a didgital signal processor, and
several radio frequency base bands, or channels. It allows electronic
devices such as cordless phones to send and recieve wireless voice
and data communications.
I've never heard it mentioned in connection with any gambling
device like a video poker machine. But, nothing that a casino does
would ever surprise me. So I wouldn't put it past them.

government regulators would not permit such a "master switch"
operation. They do not tolerate "cheating" by casinos any more than
by players."

deal cards randomly. A public relations lawyer for the Indians
admitted it when interviewed by the Wall Street Journal."

I guess the same arguement could be used here as always.
If this were the case (allowed by the state), they could put in Hi
Paying chips, have casino personel play them when this is done,
syphon off large profits, and return to the state smaller monthly
contributions (which are based on Gross winnings).
This is the same reason some states supposedly don't allow over 100%
slots or VP. I say supposedly because it seems if the total return of
all games present on multi-games is under 100%, it qualifies, even
though one or 2 games could be over??? But, overnite chip changing is
still forbidden.
My feeling has always been, either you have faith or not. If you
don't, then don't play uncomfortable. I feel the same way, when I'm
winning, all is well. When I'm losing rapidly, I suspect they are
cheating??? But, I let my common sense overcome. Also, it's a lot
easier to digest at the Quarter level (which I am) than dollars..
HUMAN NATURE..

Just my opinion,
Rick(RI)

Could be???
But my results there over the years (large sampling), have always
been close to the predetermined results as per WP, etc…
Be it Quarter AA, 9/5 DJ, Pick'em, and $ Double Dueces… Of course
this is all when they were available, only Pick'em now.
This sampling from a estimated low of 100K hands on DD to maybe 2
plus million on AA,
Plus Foxwood publishes there month take (%), available from many
sources… Most other Indian Casinos don't???
PLus being the largest (they attract many Hi-Rollers, a la Michael
Jordon), I think they have too much at stake. And, why do they reduce
payouts and make it obvious, if they could use a chip and keep it
hidden??
Bottom line is; the VP isn't what it was and I don't expect any
improvement soon. Why, as long as they have capacity crowds willing
to play 6/5 JB… AND, lets face it, VP is a VERY small portion of
there available games, Probably larger than they'd like it to be.
They are loaded (Busy, I might add) with very, very profitable
Quarter, Half, and Dollar Slots…
Given the above circumstances, the VP they have presented has been
surprisingly decent in my opinion… Probably better than I would
offer if I was making the decisions under the same circumstances.
I remember when they opened with table games only. They were sooooo
crowded, they allowed and encouraged backlining. Stand there, count
cards at leisure, jump in with a few 100+ bets on large bets with
nothing obvious.
GREAT DAYS… FAT wallets. A real crowded Weekend nite was good for a
1000 Plus… A good weekend good for 2-3K… And, decent BJ rules also.
Lasted about a couple of years… Retirement funds.
