foxwoods trip

I stopped by on Sunday for poker deep stack, but used slot/vp promo of $10 in free slot play for all card holders.
I had not been since fall 09' and last spring . I was forced to update my pin. N.B. This is now done at the cashier cage , not at slot club (always have long lines). New pin worked fine at kiosk- could have downloaded at machines likely too.
I had planned to use 2 other family members Free Play but now could not without ID at cage for new pins .
I did not see the new 9/6 dollar ( 25 coin) JBs in the ceder high limit area listed on vp2, but did find that they had upgraded their lousy .25 jb to 8/5 - some single line and many 3/5 play. old triple plays still 6/5.
The best prior .25 options were 7/5 jacks and 6/5 bp. Dueces still all lousy plays. DB too.
Double down stud may be best .25 game @ one coin. As those machines are not eligible for promos? maybe on multi point days they are better because you double your bet on mostly sure winners?
they have 2x, 3x point days now too.

vp machines no longer show countdown of points - so you do not know where you stand - but I read on vp2 that it is now $250 a point. But you can access account for total points /cash value and download into the machine.

So we are all still Rubes to them, but someone has figured out if people lose less quickly they will play and stay more.

In the Cedar high limit area there are 5-6 machines against the wall when you
enter the area. They have big I'm Loose signs on top of the machines. In the
Pequot Casino there are 4 machines right outside the high limit area. The $5 JOB
in high limit is short pay. There are also several banks of $1 9/5 JOB
progressives.

Yeah I think 94.86% qualifies as a lousy play. Note the salt rubbed in the wounds short pay on the Royal-5,10,15,20,20,40,50,100,1000,1500.
Anyone doubt that when my wife drags me to the VP toilet that is "Meet Me At Foxwoods" I slow pay the Deuces one nickel at a time (94.76%-1,2,3,4,4, 8,10,20,200,250) while sucking down as much premium booze (Crown Royal, B & B, Makers Mark) as possible?
The good news is that the variance is 11.40, which makes Pick Em look volatile!

You may want to try the 2 cent 50 play machines- the ducks with same schedule @ 1 line 1 coin. I did not know about top shelf booze? I got a tiny plastic beer cup.

I am not sure on the double down stud payback, besides the 6 or better game they always had, the games now included duece wild and joker versions.
I have not seen a strategy for old game in some time, but remember 97-98% range. I have never seen for the wild versions. But I figure the dealt royal requirement makes one coin a less costly percentage play.
I do not know of pick em at foxwoods only Mohegan - straight pay out often lowered. Plus must play full coin or lose a lot on the quads.

Ha Ha-I've played that circular bank of 2 centers a couple of times but usually there is 1 or 2 out of order and the rest have players. I play the nickels right next to them. Tell those on this group about the suckers sitting down and playing 20 nickels a spin on those horrid paytables.
Skip the beer and go with the top shelf booze. The Indians don't skimp on the first rate booze-with their paytables they don't have to!

Just curious....In what states do Indian casinos give free alcohol while playing? (Obviously CT)
I know nowhere in CA do they give free booze as they were smart enough to get that put into the compact......

*harrah's cherokee, for one.

Are you saying that free alcohol is now comped to players at Harrah's Cherokee?
Last time that I was there, alcohol was unavailable at any price. Seems counter
intuitive that it is now free.

*sorry; i jumped the gun. they definitely do serve alcohol now, but i
haven't ordered any, so i don't know if it's free or comped. as i think
about it, you do have to go to a serving area to get it, so there probably
is a charge. i'm sure someone else will verify one way or the other.

Even Harrah's Horseshoe in Indiana can't serve free alcohol. I know there is no free alcohol in Wisconsin , Indiana and Illinois. Either federal or state to state thing??

It sure can't be federal. Just ask Nevada and New Jersey.

No free alcohol in Iowa at VP / Slots either , unless you have the higher level players cards - ( HET Diamond etc ) - but they DO comp you drinks at the tables on occasion - its up to the pit boss.

Also the bars at casinos in Iowa will not pour a shot of any liquor - must be mixed in a drink or on ice and they will not sell you more than 2 drinks at a time.

It sure can't be federal. Just ask Nevada and New Jersey.
