I had a "gambling emergency" this morning and convinced a friend to
accompany me to Foxwoods. Unfortunately, I could only spend about 2
hours there due to her prior commitment this evening. All the quarter
and fifty cent games are still there. They have revamped the Festival
of Slots, putting in several new rows of nickel slots in front of the
quarter vp. I played about 45 min on the double joker machines. Made
one error that cost me 4oak. Was down $60 and made 3 pts. Then went to
slots 360 and played the 8/5 JOB for about an hour. I put 7 points on
the card and was up $100. I hit 2 SF (one I held 4 to a royal and got
the 9) and 4-5 quads. Not too bad for 8/5. There was a big poker
tournament going on and the Rainmaker casino was pretty crowded. Love
the new Rainmaker parking garage.
My husband and I are planning our first trip to Vegas in August. We
want to stay downtown, probably at the GN because we want a nice room
but near cheap gambling and food.
