Did anyone participate in this promo on Oct 6? I was out of town (Vegas of course) and I've heard two different stories from two boothlings? The one who had never heard of the promotion checked with her supervisor and said that you insert your card and get a minimum multiplier from 2x to 5x, let's say you get a 3x. Then as you play, the multiplier can go up for awhile which will be displayed on the CRT screen before going back to your minimum (i.e. 3x). If you go to a different machine, you get another minimum multiplier which may be better or worse than your previous machine. The other boothling said something different, as in you are assigned randomly a minimum rate for the day and then it can go up for awhile as you play. Did anyone experience this promo and knows how it works? If you can insert and pull your card until you get a minimum 5x multiplier and then play big at that rate, that is a 2.17% comp rate which you can get as 1.08% cashback which seems pretty good, but also pretty unlikely.
Foxwoods October Wacky Wednesday point multiplier promotion
The rate changed throughout the day at some interval not by machine. About every
10-15 minutes the multiplier would flash across the screen. If you changed
machines, the multiplier would not change. It seemed to be set for 1/2 -1 hour
or so. It was 2X probably 60% of the time and 3X 40%. It was ever higher than
3X.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably go this Wednesday to try it out. There are two 3x Sundays later this month, Oct 17 from 6PM to midnight and one other. If Wacky Wednesday gives only 2x and 3x, maybe 3x Sunday nights might be better.
I checked out the Wacky Wednesday promotion today. When you put your card in,
if all you see is Good Luck on the screen, then you are at 2x multiplier. After
awhile, the lights around the card slot will flash and the words, "The count
down is operating at 3x the normal rate". Now you are at triple points. At
some point it will switch back to 2x points, but I never saw any indication that
you are switched back to 2x. If you are curious at what you are currently
playing at, pull your card and put it back in. A Good Luck announcement means
2x or you will get an announcement if you are at 3x points. I never saw a 4x or
5x anouncement.
By slow playing at one coin when at 2x, and betting max coin at 3x, my overall
rate was 2.7x. It was pretty distracting trying to play the game correctly and
also watching for point multiplier upgrades. Assuming its not too crowded and
you can get the machine you want, I think this Sundays, Oct 17 6PM to Midnight
triple points promotion is probably better.
