Foxwoods Fiasco

Anybody hear about this one?
They sent out offers to people with thousands of credits to redeem their points dollar for dollar in cash up to a grand a day. But after being swarmed with people they pulled the promo after a day.
A lot of people, including close friends of mine were there yesterday and grumbling like crazy-the phrase "Indian Givers" being thrown around...

I received a post card today for bonus slot play of my weekly free play on Sat
because of the inconvenience. The post card says postponed, not canceled. What
are the odds they actually do it again?

Pretty obvious from what I heard that the only reason it is "postponed" was that they were getting hammered for millions in redemptions.
This will come back about the time they install 50-play FPDW.

I received the same post card. I am not suprised that the dollar for dollar redemtions were cancelled, too expensive and counter-productive for long term loyalty. If they wanted to "man-up" they could have allowed one day only for players who did not participate in the first day, after all the first day occured on the Jewish high holy day of Yom Kippur. MS keept the triple down blackjack promo for its full 24 hours even though it was a big money looser.

However Foxwood's web site states the program is postponed for "technical" reasons. Yeah right! Whatever happned to owning up to one's mistakes, are they training to be politicians?

Wife and I also recieved emails yesterday from MS for free play this Sat., after the mailed offers dried up this month. Guess they figured out that many of us were voting with our feet, no offers no play.
