Foxwoods DB

Went to Foxwoods on Saturday, and I did indeed find those two 50c
9/7/5 DB machines in the Great Cedar Casino. It ain't 10/7/5, but
it's sure more playable than the 9/6/5 and 9/6/5/80 I'd been seeing.
I was appalled to see a large number of 8/5/4 DB machines....scary.
Saw something interesting that I had never seen before....10/7/4 DB
with 900 coins for quad aces. 99.26% ROI with perfect play....but
I'm gonna need to study that game a bit before I play it. (Thank
goodness for WinPoker!)

Also saw that ripoff version of Bonus Poker, 10/8/5 with the push for
two pair. Yeesh. Robbery.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when VP starts spreading in
New York State. I wonder if the competition will result in some
better games becoming available.

Thanks for the info. About those 10/7/4 DB machines:
where - how many - what denominations ?
PS - concerning those strategy changes. Since the Aces go to 900, you shift almost 1% of the total return toward the Aces quads.
thus strategy changes affecting going for the quad aces are ( --> means "is better than " ) :
Aalone --> 2 high cards ( but not JQ)
Aalone --> 4 Straight ( Ace low )
AA --> 2 Pair, 3RF, 4FL
AAA --> Full House

There are some straight strategy changes too, you will not go for the straight as often as you do in 10/7 DB
low pair --> 4ST ( no gaps and no high cards)

They are also in the great cedar casino also as $1 machines. I
believe there are 2. There is also (1) $1 8/5 Bonus poker
(the .50&.25 short you on some of the 4 of a kinds). The paytables
are all over the map in that section. DB runs 10/7/4, 10/6/5, 9/7/5,
9/6/5/80, 9/6/5, 9/6/4, 8/5/4 in different denominations, but the
best payback is in the .50 level and the worst is in the dollar

Tom,

I only saw one of those 10/7/4 machines, and it was in the Great
Cedar Casino. I think it was a $1 machine, but I can't swear to
that. I really didn't look around to find others, so I can't say
that you won't see them elsewhere in the complex.

Thanks for the strategy hints. Some of those moves actually also
apply to 10/7, though, such as AAA --> FH, AA --> 3RF and AA -->
4FL. I'll be setting up a game file in WinPoker for that 10/7/4 pay
table, and playing with it for a while. Frankly, though, I'm more
likely to be playing at Mohegan Sun than at Foxwoods.
