Are these just the cash reward points or ANY points on our Dream Card?

I received an e-mail that mentioned that points can be redeemed
Saturday Sept 18 and 25 from 10 AM to 4 PM at 1 point to 1 dollar. I got there this morning about 10:15 only to find the lines at the player's club very long (over 300) and the self-serve kiosk backed up as well (around 20). The kiosk lines outside the Uncas Ballroom were the shortest and they had just opened the Uncas Ballroom to service cash-out requests as well. I received my entire point balance at a 1 point to $1 rate.

I received a second e-mail that states that starting at 5:00 PM on Saturday, that points can be exchanged for cash at the ratio of 1 point to $0.50. This second e-mail is a change (I think) from the previous rule that you could only exchange HALF of
your points for cash at the 1 point to $0.50 ratio. This is a permanent change (I think). This increases their cashback from $.25 for 1 pt (plus .50 food comp) to $.50 for 1 pt, or from .11 % to .22% (.44% on dbl pt days).

I plan on reinvesting the cashback by playing big on Tuesday at double points to cash out next Saturday Sept 25 which is the last 1 pt for $1 date mentioned. Double points will give a .88% cashback which is pretty good, if not great. Playing 9/6 JOB at 99.54% + 0.88% gives a 100.42% return, plus lots of qualified points towards Gold tier level.

Since the Sun doesn't offer cashback, and if Foxwoods offers this 1 pt to $1 promotion in the future, I may start playing more at Foxwoods. Have they ever offered this promotion in the past?

I received a monthly mailer that states that the 1 point for $1 promotion has
been extended for every Sat in Oct.

When I got there the lines at the booth were huge but they had reps helping at
the kiosks and it took less than 5 minutes to get my ticket. Not a bad deal.

I recieved a postcard yesterday that they are giving triple points on
Sun. Oct. 3 and Sun. Oct. 17. Presents interesting play possibilities with cash redemtions.

However the cash redemtions indicate very short term thinking on the management's part. With players depleting their points who will buy at the overpriced retailers? Therefore, I agree that is best to dilligently redeem points until the plug is pulled.

I find it interesting how the information on promotions dribbles out to different people at different times. Their web site does not mention that further cashout (1 pt = $1) days will be held every Saturday in October, but when I asked a boothling this morning, he verified it as if it was common knowledge. Now someone gets an e-mail about 2 triple point days in October. Why do some people get the infomation before others? It is of course very valuable in setting up your playing schedule for the next month. This sharing of compartmentalized info is perhaps the biggest value of our VP forum.

By the way, hidden down under the Wacky Wednesday promotion is the following:

•Starting 6am every Wednesday in October earn at least 2 times—and up to 5 times—your Dream Rewards Points on all slot machines. Watch the screen on slot machine to see the point multipler.

Not sure how that is going to work.

I suppose the way Wacky Wednesday might work, is that a point multiplier is assigned randomly to each card each Wednesday in October. You and your spouse stop in every Wednesday and insert both your cards. If one of you have been assigned a 2x and one a 3x, then you play moderately on the 3x card. If one of your cards gets a 5x multiplier, then you play BIG on that card. If all you both get is a 2x, you might save your ammunition until the next Wednesday.

Hi,

On Foxwood's homepage it looks like the 1 point = $1 promotion has been postponed on 9/25 - not sure about the Oct. dates? The strange thing is they are claiming "technical" issues, but will still cash out at .50 on the $1.

Has anyone heard anything else on this latest development?
