Does anyone play much at FW and Mohegan Sun? I see on vpfree that Mohegan has PKM that you can almost break even at and build up huge points on. And foxwoods has a very high mininum 9/6 JOB you can get an advantage at with points. Do they send out mailers and/or have promos ever at either place?

Not sure if something changed in the past few months but when I was last at Foxwoods they were awarding no points for 9/6 Jacks play (per sticker on the machines) - but I did it a royal on them so at the end of the day I didn't mind!

I play regularly at Mohegan. IMHO, it is by far the nicer of the two (but admittedly I haven't been to FW in quite a long time) The games listed in VPFRRE2 are there as described, and generally available. But the fullpay PKM accrues points at $270 coin in for 1 point vs. $180 for one at all other VP games. The $.25 PKM have had their paytables downgraded.
Depending on the level you achieve, you will get some good free play offers, discounted or free rooms, and shows. They currently have a promotion, or at least I heard it advertised a/o a week ago, that if you have an Empire Racino card, they'll give you $100 free play with a new signup. Depending where you're coming from, it could be worth stopping by to get an Empire card, just to get the free play.
If you have a significant other, you should each sign up for the club, (and obvioulsy the Empire card, too) and play mainly on one card. Even minimal play on the other (on getaway day for example) will get some offers. But you will get much better offers on the main card.
The tier levels are determined on a semi-annual basis, with the next 6 month period beginning April 1st, so the timing is ideal.
