Slot revenues continued to slide at Connecticut's casinos for the month of June, compared with the same month last year.

Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket reported slot revenue of $43.4 million in June, down 12.3 percent compared with the same month last year. Mohegan Sun in Uncasville reported slot revenue of $50.5 million for the month, down 7.9 percent compared with June 2012.

When Massachusetts opens these numbers will be looked on fondly.

Both tribes want (need) a piece of the MA casinos. That in this MA gambler's opinion tis a bad idea. For the State of CT, nothing.

Problem is going to take a decade for resort style casinos to open...

Not a chance. When the licenses get awarded in January construction will begin immediately. They will be open by 2015.

Oh, Didn't know the env. impact studies have been completed.
Didn't know the dept of env. protection has signed off.
Same thing for Mass. D.P.W. and the ilk.
Then there's the lawsuits, court injunctions, restraining orders....

This is Massachusetts. Won't be a shovel of dirt b4 2016.
