Four Winds New Buffalo and Blue Chip Michigan City

Haven't done much gambling in the last 12 months. I've only hit the
locals a couple of times --A far cry from previous years. Anyhoo,
managed to get away this weekend to check out Four Winds.

vpFREE database seemed accurate. I couldn't find the quarter games
the db refers to, but the bartops were jammed, so I didn't get to
look much. Slot club sign up gets $10 free play and a 25% rebate up
too $400 on losses during the first day.

Poker room was all Poker Pro tables. I had to try them out. Didn't
much care for them. I had trouble following the action, but with
some practice I'm sure I could adapt. Games offered: 1/2 and .50/1
NLHE. 3/6 LHE.

We stayed at Blue Chip as Four Winds doesn't love us enough to give
us a room. Lots of construction from the new hotel tower. The new
rooms should have an impressive view of the nuclear cooling tower.

Haven't been there since last January, but the good vp inventory
appears to be the same. I did find 1 quarter 8/5 bonus machine in a
bank of MG uprights just off the near walkway to the left wing.
There may be other anomalies like this. I didn't come near to
scanning every pay table of every game of every denomination of
every machine.

Poker room looks pretty nuch the same and still contains some of the
worst poker players in the history of man. I played about 5 hours
of NLHE. I was pretty card dead, which if nothing else, kept me out
of trouble. Managed a very modest $100 win.

The NL has gone from a $7 ($8?) half hour time charge to a 10% up to
$5 rake. Games offered: 1/2 NLHE and 3/6 LHE.

I'll close contemplating my belly. The steakhouse is not bad for a
casino restaurant. I caught a decent meal there as I often do.
