So, let's say you're leaving a casino, you stumble across a wad of bills on the floor. Whatta you do? What's the law, in Las Vegas, say about that?
Found Money
You would call me and say...Hey dude...I found your money!!! Actually the NV law says it belongs to the casino. Remember....it's all on camera from the drop to the find.

I don't know what the laws are. But, my guess is that, in Las Vegas, money
(found on the casino floor) is legally the casino's property. And, legally,
it should be returned to the casino.
HOWEVER....
I would think that it is a rare occurrence for 'found' money to be returned
to the casino. (At least, without being wagered first.)
Just my two cents.

Once found a wad o' cash on the floor of Caesar's after a Cher show (no- not the recent ones -- this was early 90's)... found a
uniformed security person, proffered the cash, to which they responded,
"are you kidding me -- put it in your pocket and the powers that be."

I was at the Flamingo last year and was playing for about a half hour when I found a ticket in a tray for $200. I showed it to a security guard and asked what to do with it. He said cash it then walked away. I found out later that it is true that what is found belongs to the casino. I kept the money.

I recently found $80 on the floor of a downtown casino. I gave it to a security person who entered my name on a "lost and found" log. After the money went unclaimed for 24 hours it was given to me.

It can't be considered the casinos money because if a person comes back to claim it, it would belong to them. Maybe after 30 days passes it would be considered the casinos, but surely not before then.
