found money - part 2

My husband noticed he had not received his "cash in the mail" cashback from
Harrah's properties in Las Vegas for the early part of the year. These
usually arrive a couple of months later. He asked at the Total Rewards booth,
they checked, and found 2 missing checks and reissued them.

So I decided to check my account - same thing - they found 2 missing checks.

To be on the safe side, when I was at another property a few weeks later, I
asked them to check - bingo - 2 more missing checks!

Total found money so far, about $500! Yikes.

Hard to believe this many checks were "lost in the mail." But a friend told
me they may not be mailed 1st class.

At any rate, if you play at Harrah's properties in Las Vegas a lot, you may
want to check!

You can also check on the Harrah's website to see everything you should have received from all Harrahs.

Unfortunately, Cash in the Mailbox vouchers don't get listed on the
website.

You can also check on the Harrah's website to see everything you

should have received from all Harrahs.

So do those from Harrahs/Ak Chin. Although mine showed up on the
website AFTER I reeived the voucher by snail-mail.

When I access the HET website and click on "Offers", Cash In The
Mailbox vouchers are shown at the top of Offers, followed by Hotel
Room and Free Cash offers, and at the bottom of the page are show and
spa offers. I am assuming that everyone's offers are in the same
order on the site.

It was an unusual voucher in that it was part of a letter. The edges
of the voucher were perforated for easy removal from the letter. The
instructions said that the actual voucher was to be put in the bill
acceptor and then the machine could be played, just as if you had
inserted currency.

The "Cash in the Mailbox" that we're referring to is only for Southern
Nevada HET properties - Caesars, Rio, Harrah's Las Vegas, Flamingo,
Paris, Bally's, and Harrah's Laughlin.

Most of the vouchers that are made to put directly into a machine are
called "Reel Rewards" -- totally different than "Cash in the Mailbox"
which is cash back based on your play during a certain month -- 4,500
reward credits earned = $10 bounceback cash. These"cash in the
mailbox" vouchers are good for a whole year and are taken to the
cashier to redeem them. Reel Rewards are normally for a specified time
period of a few days, a week, or a month. Although the amount offered
is based on previous play (in most cases) they are just an incentive
to get you back to the casino to play and have no relation to actual
cash back.

I'm sure from your discription of "Reel Rewards". that you're
absolutely correct in defining what I received. The voucher was
sent to me as the result of one session of rather short and heavy
play, at Harrahs/Ak Chin, last March. The voucher expired on May
31st.

This FP was on the top of my "Offers" page and was called (by
Harrahs) "Cash in the Mailbox". It is now gone from the website
because of the expiration date. However, the letter/voucher had the
same heading.

I am rather new to the HET system. I have no explanation as to why
the Reel Rewards voucher was called CITM. I was surprised to
receive it, and regretted not being able to put it to use.

You are obviously a very knowledgeable HET player. I do very much
appreciate the helpful information which you posted today.

I realize that you were talking about Southern Nevada. I just
thought it would be helpful to point out that the "Cash in the
Mailbox" for Reno/Tahoe does get listed on the website.

The "Cash in the Mailbox" that we're referring to is only for
