"Forbidden Vegas", Westin Casuarina Hotel

During my Vegas trip last weekend, I visitted the Westin Casuarina
for an evening, because a friend of a friend was performing in the
show "Forbidden Vegas." Apparently, this is part of a franchise that
includes "Forbidden Broadway" & "Forbidden Holiday."

It was a small showroom, & the show seemed to last a little over an
hour, with a pianist, 2 actors & 2 actresses. It was song & dance
pieces with lots of costumes, all revolving around satire of various
Vegas celebs, shows, events & such.

There were impersonations of Liberace, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, &
on & on, with the emphasis not so much on the impersonation as on the
comedy of the satiric lyrics.

The talent was great, & even though lots of the shows & celebs they
were goofing on were things I've never seen, the comedy was broad
enough that I could enjoy & appreciate everything. I'm hoping the
show lasts for a while; I wouldn't mind seeing it again on future
trips. They'll clearly keep updating it if the show survives.

The Westin casino had a high class feel. Comfy 25-cent NSUD. $10 in
free play for new slot club sign-ups with a coupon from the show. I'm
pretty certain that I also saw 50-cent NSUD at the bartop.
