I'm behind on reading posts just came across the opinions of Harrahs
that were posted about 2 weeks ago. HET AC properties were having a
3x CB offer for March. What has happened is that instead of 3x CB
they cut CB ! Below is my email to HET customer service, their
response and my posting to the AC VP group.
I just received my cashback statements from Ballys AC and Caesars AC
for my trip of March 6-8. At Ballys I earned 3776 base points(
$37,760 coin-in) and at Caesars I earned 5992 base points ( $ 59,920
coin - in). I received $46 cashback @ Ballys and $ 78 cashback @
Caesars. In a supposedly 3x CB offer I have received HALF of what I
normally would've if there wasn't a 3x CB promo. I played the same
Video Poker machines for the same amount of time as I normally do.
As a 7 star player I am outraged at these pitiful amounts! You cut
the initial CB rate, and then have the nerve to call it a 3x cashback
promo. If the rates at Ballys and Caesars were the same as they've
been for the past year or more, I would've received more than $250
and more than $400 cashback( approx. 3x totals) at each respective
property. This is a deceitful business practice. If you can't afford
to do a 3x CB promo then don't ! When Harrahs AC offered a 3x CB
promo in December rates were not cut ! And please don't insult my
intelligence with a reply that states the usual HET verbage
about "..cashback rates are determined by..." As I previously stated
I played the same machines as I usually do.

Please keep in mind that cash back is determined by complex
mathematical formulas based on your slot play. Calculation of cash
back includes: type of machine (reel/poker), type of machine (Double
Diamond/Joker Poker, etc.), time played, game denomination, bet per
spin, total number of coins cycled through the game and net loss.
All of these variables play a part in determining cash back amount.
We did check with our IT department about the amount of cash back you
earned based on that trip. The amount you earned was correct.
We apologize for any disappointment you may have and will forward
your concerns to our management team for their benefit.

THEY MAY LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ME BUT IT WILL BE QUITE SOME TIME(IF
AT ALL), BEFORE I GO TO AN AC HET PROPERTY. I ALREADY HAVE A DIAMOND
STATUS FOR NEXT YEAR AND NOW I'M GIVING SERIOUS THOUGHT AS TO WHETHER
GOING FOR 7 STARS IS EVEN WORTH IT,CONSIDERING WHAT HAS JUST
TRANSPIRED AND ALSO THAT MOST OF THE DECENT VP AT THEIR VEGAS
PROPERTIES HAS BEEN DOWNGRADED. THIS IS NOT A WHINE. THIS IS A
COMPLAINT ABOUT A DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICE. I MIGHT NOT HAVE
LIKED, BUT COULD'VE LIVED WITH, A CUT IN THE BASIC CB RATE AS PART OF
A CHANGE IN THIR GENERAL POLICY. ITS THE LIE OF THE 3X CB THATS GOT
ME ANGRY!!
